Choose Wellness -- May 2010
May 02, 2010
Greetings, best wishes

... and welcome everyone to this Choose Wellness newsletter for May 2010 with a BIG welcome especially to those of you who have just recently come on board.

Oh! What a beautiful day it is in Brisbane.

The weather here is near perfect at the moment. Makes me want to get out and 'walk'.

Unfortunately, though, I can only do that in small doses. I manage to keep the osteoarthritis that is progressing slowly in my knee to an almost painless state with the help of all the natural supplements that I take regularly.

Glyconutrients and Omega-3s particularly are life savers for me... but as soon as I walk any distance, I'm in trouble.

What is it with 'knees' these days. Almost everyone I know of my age seems to have trouble with a knee or two, and it seems to be very common practice to have a 'knee replacement', or some kind of knee operation.

Hopefully I can avoid that, but... it is a vicious circle - I need to walk for my heart but my knee 'won't let me'.

However, I can get out and dig in the garden... and look what I got for my digging yesterday! It's a sweet potato, in case you don't recognise it.

Proudly displayed by Grandchildren Andy and Shiina.

" Whenever possible buy fruits and vegetables that are locally grown. The produce will be fresher, more nutritious and tastier than produce that has been shipped in from another country or state."

ANZAC Day

Last Sunday April 25th, here in Australia it was ANZAC day, the day that Australians and New Zealanders officially remember the men and women from our countries who lost their lives in all the wars that have occurred during our short history.

You can read about some of those, from our family, who did not return at www.living-family-history.com/our_anzac_soldiers.html

Why We Should Be Eating More Meat

Having just convinced myself that 'going raw' would be a good health option I received this interesting article about why we should be eating more meat.

I think it all gets back to what my Mother always said "Eat a balanced diet."

It's just that these days with so many more options available and so many processed foods that were not available to us years ago, it sometimes gets difficult. The main thing to my mind is to avoid processed foods, eat raw, natural and preferably organic foods whenever possible.

Certainly if you have a problem like diabetes or are overweight, 30 days of going raw would be a good idea.

DubLi Unique Bid Win

We're excited about picking up our first real bargain at the DubLi Unique Bid auction. Grandson Andy announced recently that he was saving up for a PSPgo.

We had no idea what that was, and after his explanation were not much the wiser, except that they cost about $400, and that he had saved up $80 towards one.

Geoff has been dabbling and trying to work out a system for being successful on the Unique Bid Auction, so when we saw the Sony PSPgo listed, he decided to put in a few bids within our price range - bingo our bid of $12.25 was successful! Can't wait to see Andy's face when it is delivered - we haven't told him about it.

(Keep a look-out for his system which we will put up on www.decisionwize.com when it is finalised.)

DubLi shopping in Australia is improving all the time with more and more items being added and more shops being added to the Shopping Mall. It's worth spending a little time 'window shopping' to find out just what is available.

DubLi will be the first truly global shopping platform with high demand products being deliverable to 95% of the countries of the world. You will be able to Log in from wherever you are in the world and the global auction house will recognize your location and present you with a great array of products deliverable in your area.

More than that, these products are also available to millions of other people in many different countries so with everyone bidding on the same items, all over the world, you can imagine how the price can drop. As more and more people register as customers, it can only keep getting better!
