Choose Wellness -- Dec/08
December 19, 2008
|Merry Christmas and Greetings All
Welcome to this Christmas edition of the 'Choose Wellness' Newsletter.
A little later than I'd have liked and apologies for the little glitch last month that caused you to receive 2 issues! I guess no one minded too much. This will be just a brief message to wish you all a Joyous Christmas and a very successful New year.
I mentioned last month that we would be travelling North to be present at the opening of daughter Katelyn's fashion expo "Intangible Streamings".... What a wonderful event it was! - we were amazed and so proud of the quantity and quality of her work and what an achievement to be invited to show her collection in New York in January!
Not only did we share the experience of Katelyn's exhibition - we then travelled to Mackay where daughter Ngaio's collection of collages "Correspondence" was on show at Mackay Artspace, along with an exhibition of Watercolours and bronzes from the Queensland Gallery.
Her collection relates to the expression of thoughts and ideas through letters and postcards in earlier, more leisurely times, in the days before the helter skelter of electronic communication. The collection was created using old family letters, postcards and tiny collectibles and includes a pictorial diary made up of a different page for each day of a whole year - very interesting and afforded her many accolades.
Here are a couple of great little last minute Christmas gift ideas for you.
Brisbane born writer Robyn Smith has a passion for photography and loves to travel and she has combined these interests to produce two brilliant little books:
Do It With Style: a lighthearted approach to our senior years
This little book is for all those approaching Seniorhood – and those who have already arrived – to help you make the transition with style.
Illustrated by a heartwarming collection of black & white photographs, Do It With Style offers an encouraging message with a touch of humour.
Seriously though.. a seriously whimsical approach to enjoying life after 50
This is an appealing collection of whimsical reflections, positive thoughts, practical tips and very cute photographs.
Robyn has very kindly offered these two gems at a reduced price for my Choose Wellness friends.
As soon as you flip through these delightful little books, you'll think of people You'd like to share them with - they're meant to give pleasure and inspiration - and they will! Postage within Australia is included in the $15 price. International Buyers will need to pay $20 to include postage.
If it's too late for Christmas, there's always that Birthday to be celebrated and a little 'Thank-you' for someone special never goes astray.

"Pineapple contains the enzyme bromelain which is a potent anti-inflammatory. It is also rich in vitamin C; this combination helps the body heal faster from bumps and bruises and eases pain from arthritis and sore throats."
Combine 1 small chopped pineapple, 1 diced red onion, 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice, a 2 inch piece of gingerroot finely chopped and 1 tablespoon of chopped mint. Mix well and chill.
Eat lots of Brazil Nuts this Christmas.
One Brazil nut contains 120 mcg of selenium, which is twice the recommended daily allowance. Selenium is a powerful antioxidant that helps fight free radicals that may damage your eyes. This powerful trace mineral may help prevent macular degeneration and cataracts.
We all tend to overindulge a little at Christmas time, so if you think you've gained a few extra fat rolls, OsoLean™ is the perfect solution for you in the New Year - it will help you shed those extra centimeters from around your waist safely and permanently. It's a FAT LOSS program that is guaranteed to work.
